John Fisher and Domi Oh formed the Amabile Piano Duo in 2021 with the intent of offering
four-hand and duo-piano programs which are both rewarding and entertaining. Since then the
APD has played dozens of recitals at churches, cathedrals, colleges, universities,
conservatories, museums and fine arts centers from Seattle, San Francisco, Phoenix,
Indianapolis, Fort Worth and Washington, D.C. to London, Dublin, Brussels and Mexico
City. Their 2025 European schedule has recitals confirmed in Dublin, Amsterdam and Geneva.

Dr. Fisher was professor of piano and music theory for 51 years, most recently for 34 years at
Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth where he is now professor emeritus. He held music
professorships at St Mary’s College, South Bend, Indiana, and at Northern State University,
Aberdeen, South Dakota. Retired as of June 2022, he now cultivates national and international
appearances by The Amabile Piano Duo.

Dr. Oh is the pianist for the Pasión Trio with Everaldo Martinez, violin, and Natalia Vacarciuc,
cello. She is also a piano faculty member at the University of Texas at Dallas, and maintains a
private piano studio in her home.
