Goethe Choir is thrilled to announce a spectacular concert commemorating the centenaries of Stanford, Smetana & Bruckner, with soloists Roisin O’Grady, Sharon Carty, Eamonn Mulhall & Gyula Nagy alongside David Leigh, organ & Hartigans Brass Ensemble.
The Goethe Choir, directed by John Dexter and joined by accomplished soloists, will present a concert of works by renowned composers C. V. Stanford (1852–1924), Bedřich Smetana (1824–1884), and Anton Bruckner (1824–1896) in the stunning setting of Saint Patrick’s Cathedral with support from David Leigh (organ) and the Hartigans Brass Ensemble.
The programme for the evening includes Te Deum and Jubilate in C, Beati quorum via and excerpts of From Bible Songs by Stanford, Vltava – The Moldau (version for organ) by Smetana and Te Deum in C major by Bruckner.
