This concert will comprise a beautiful programme of some of the most sensitive choral composing by a selection of top contemporary composers, and featuring the Irish Premieres of Ola Gjeilo’s exquisite ‘Dreamweaver’ and Jake Runestad’s ‘Winter’, together with chorales by J.S. Bach, William Byrd and a number of traditional carols to finish.
The performance will feature the Leinster String Quartet; Anthony Byrne, piano and Mairéad Buicke, one of Ireland’s finest and widely acclaimed sopranos. You will be charmed by Anthony Byrne’s sensitive touch on the piano, the astonishing clarity of Mairéad Buicke’s soaring voice and the warm sound of the Leinster String Quartet all of which will be enhanced in the wonderful acoustic of St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
The concert will embrace you in a cloak of subtle, warm and comforting seasonal music.
