The St. Anthony Camerata Chorale Festival Choir was founded in 2014 with a mission “to proclaim the Word of God through performance of all genres of sacred and secular choral music as an art form”. The Chorale includes choristers from all walks of life and faith backgrounds. We are dedicated to serving the hungry and homeless through sharing of proceeds from our concerts and enjoy a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit status under the umbrella of the Catholic Diocese of Peoria, Illinois.
In addition to performing wonderful music in the Diocese of Peoria, the Chorale sponsors choir tours…broadening our appreciation of this amazing world we live in through the experience of sharing our music while visiting other countries.
The Festival Choir states in its mission that they are “dedicated to serving the hungry and homeless”. In order to make our music accessible to all, we don’t charge to attend our concerts. Admission for our guests is a donation of nonperishable food items that are distributed to Sophia’s Angels Kitchen, a local food pantry housed at St. Joseph’s Church, currently serving meals to over 800 guests per day. Through a free-will offering taken during our concerts, we monetarily support Sophia’s Kitchen as well. We also share the offering with Love Repeated, an amazing not-for-profit organization, founded through the efforts of our choir member, Nancy Davis, with the mission to feed, clothe, house, educate and provide medical services for children left orphaned through disease and violence in our sister diocese in Tanzania. We are justly proud of Nancy and her tireless work on behalf of the orphans and all that has been accomplished with our help!
